Arts Outburst is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Officer to design, manage, and deliver a broad range of participatory arts projects across Thurrock, South Essex, and East London. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our creative programmes, building partnerships, and reaching underrepresented communities.
About the Role:
As a Senior Project Officer, you’ll work closely with our Head of Projects & Operations and Artistic Director, bringing innovative ideas to life through cross-artform workshops and events. You’ll manage freelance artists and volunteers, oversee project budgets, and ensure every project is artistically rich, socially engaging, and professionally delivered.
Part Time – This is a 0.8 position (4 days per week) with a Salary of c£28k (pro rata)
What You’ll Need:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management
- A background as a practicing professional artist
- Proven ability to lead participatory workshops and community arts projects
- Excellent communication, organisational, and creative problem-solving skills
- Experience managing multiple projects and working with diverse communities
Desirable:
- Experience across multiple art forms
- Knowledge of South Essex
- Skills in marketing, evaluation, or digital design
