When Bloom & Bond first began, it was rooted in a simple but powerful idea: to nurture the wellbeing of expectant parents, mums, and dads with children aged 0–2 through creativity, connection, and shared experience.
We created a space where families could slow down, bond with their babies, and reconnect with themselves — guided by artists, musicians, and creatives who understand that wellbeing isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we feel, make, and experience together.
And now, Bloom & Bond has grown…
Our Bond & Play sensory sessions are now a regular part of the Bloom & Bond journey. These sessions go beyond baby-focused activities — they are thoughtfully designed to support both baby and parent. Through sensory play, sound, texture, and gentle interaction, parents are invited to be fully present, creating meaningful moments of connection while also finding calm and enjoyment for themselves.
Because when a parent feels supported, grounded, and seen — that connection naturally flows to their child.
Lovely Laurel from our team, spent time chatting, collaging and gathering on the topic of what it is to be a parent and wrote beautiful lullabies that captured the essence and words of the participants to the project. It was played over Murmurations Installation in Light Up Thurrock for the community to hear and relate.
Holding Space for the Parent, Too – with our Creative Wellbeing
Parenthood can be joyful, but it can also reshape identity in unexpected ways. That’s why we’ve introduced evening workshops dedicated entirely to the adult experience.
These sessions explore:
- Identity and the changing sense of self
- Movement and reconnecting with the body
- Meditation and stillness
- Creative expression as a tool for reflection and release
- They offer something many parents don’t often get — uninterrupted time to pause, reflect, and rediscover parts of themselves that can feel distant in the early years of caregiving, and if they cannot make it, they can attend online – making these sessions as accessible as possible.
Dedicated Spaces for Fathers & Partners
We’ve launched monthly Fathers & Partners sessions, held on weekends to make them accessible.
These sessions recognise something often overlooked — that fathers and partners also need space to connect, share, and be supported in their parenting journey.
Whether it’s through conversation, creative activity, or simply being in a room with others who understand, these sessions are about building confidence, connection, community and enjoying ourselves while doing it.
A Community That Listens and Leads – with our ‘Friends of Bloom & Bond’
One of the most exciting developments in Bloom & Bond is the creation of Friends of Bloom & Bond — a group of parents who help shape the programme from the inside.
Their voices, experiences, and ideas directly influence what we offer, ensuring that everything we do stays relevant, responsive, and genuinely supportive.
And most importantly, to remind every parent — whether you’re just beginning or already deep in the journey — that you don’t have to do this alone.
Bloom & Bond is growing. And we’re growing with you.
