“Performers will appear through the crowds of Chadwell’s Big Lunch, brandishing bamboo sticks on which they climb, vault and spin. They discover bundles which unfold into towering sculptures, six metres high.

NoFit State Circus’ BAMBOO is a spectacular high-impact, high-skill outdoor circus production revealing the fragility and beauty of our interconnected and interdependent life on this planet.

There will be a live DJ set and additional creative activities from CoDa Dance Company, Kinetika, Arts Outburst and Thurrock Museum. Plus basketball coaching, physical activities, live entertainment, sports, games and stalls.

The Chadwell Big Lunch is hosted by The Pyramid Centre in partnership with Start Thurrock, Thurrock Council, Thurrock CVS, Active Essex and Impulse Leisure. It is supported by the Chadwell St Mary Community Forum.

Entry to this event and the majority of activities, like bouncy castles, face painting and entertainment, remain completely free and we encourage you to come along with a picnic to share with your family and friends.

Some additional activities may incur a small cost, and refreshments such as tea, coffee, ice creams and cakes will be available to buy on the day.”
