“See you in Blackshots for the finale of Big Lunches 2026, featuring a high-octane performance by ZoieLogic Dance Theatre.

RIDE is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with an ‘80s vibe, with tons of athletic physicality and daring stunts. It features a real car which rotates and spins! This is a playful spin on the classic summer road trip.

There will be a live DJ set, additional creative activities with Kinetika, Thurrock Museum and dance demonstrations from local dance schools. Plus basketball, skateboarding, other physical activities, sports, games and stalls.

The Blackshots Big Lunch is being organised in partnership by Start Thurrock, Thurrock Council, Thurrock CVS, Impulse Leisure, Active Essex and Stifford Hub.

Entry to this event and the majority of activities, like bouncy castles, face painting and entertainment, remain completely free and we encourage you to come along with a picnic to share with your family and friends.

Some additional activities may incur a small cost, and refreshments such as tea, coffee, ice creams and cakes will be available to buy on the day.”
