Bloom & Bond: Nurturing Connection Through Creativity in Early Parenthood

by Arts Outburst on 10 November 2025

Arts Outburst is delighted to introduce Bloom & Bond, a gentle, creative wellbeing programme designed for expectant parents and families with children aged 0–2.

We know the early days of parenthood can be joyful, overwhelming, transformative, and everything in between. Bloom & Bond offers a space to slow down and connect with your baby and yourself.

At the heart of the programme is a simple idea: creativity can support wellbeing. But before the full programme launches, we want to spend time listening. Every family’s experience is different, so the first phase of Bloom & Bond focuses on meeting families across Thurrock, hearing what would support you most, and shaping the programme with you – not for you.

Join Us for Little Jams — This November

As part of our soft launch, we’re hosting Little Jam, Little Art, and Little Chat Sessions! Come and join creatives Laurel and Charlotte for a relaxed drop in at your local library!  We’ll have a little jam with guitar, chimes, and art percussion, get hands-on with some playful art-making, and enjoy an easy-going chat along the way. It’s all about connecting and creating!

Why Bloom & Bond?

“Creativity can play such a meaningful role during pregnancy and early parenthood,” says Charlotte Trower, Bloom & Bond Project Manager. “These moments of song, calm, and shared togetherness can help us feel grounded and supported when everything is changing.”

Arts Outburst Artistic Director and CEO Daryl Branch adds, “Bloom & Bond is being shaped by the voices of local families. By listening first, we ensure the programme is nurturing, relevant, and rooted in real experience.”

Be Part of the Beginning

Bloom & Bond is just getting started, and we’d love you to be part of shaping what comes next. Whether you’re a parent, carer, health professional, or community partner, your voice matters.

More sessions, resources, and opportunities will roll out in the months ahead, so follow along for the journey on social media, or drop in to one of our Little Jams to say hello! You can also email bloom@artsoutburst.co.uk for more information, or to join our Bloom & Bond mailing list.

Create, play and connect.
